- Description
- The Filson Short Lined Cruiser is made with Tin Cloth, our signature waxed cotton that outperforms and outlasts the competition. This exceptional fabric has protected loggers, woodsmen, and sportsmen from thorns and brambles in the snow-choked, rain-soaked forests of the Pacific Northwest since the 1920s. Often imitated, Tin Cloth is the fabric trusted by outdoor professionals who depend on gear that withstands abuse in the harshest conditions. No other waxed canvas can match its durability, weather resistance, and legacy of dependable protection. Our Tin Cloth comes from England’s iconic British Millerain, pioneers of waxing fabric. At 14 oz. per square yard, Tin Cloth is twice the weight of its imitators, yet is not excessively thick. This is due to the uncommonly tight weave that’s densely packed with more yarns in every inch. Much like heavy-duty rigid denim, Tin Cloth will break in and mold itself to the body’s contours. Cut at the hip, our Short Cruiser won’t ride up when seated. The shorter length also allows easy access to pockets or a tool belt. The jacket is lined with lightweight canvas for comfort and the sleeves with sturdy polyester for easy layering. Virtually indestructible metal wreath buttons are used for all fastenings. The waist has adjustment tabs for a custom fit. Hand pockets have large openings for access even when wearing gloves, and are bar-tacked at stress points. The left chest pocket is flap-secured, and the right is slotted for a pen, carpenter’s pencil or penlight. The Filson Short Lined Cruiser – made with the best materials and construction for a lifetime of dependable service. Accept no less.
