- Prestigious European provenances such as the marquise de Pompadour, Maximilian of Bavaria, the Massimo and Della Rovere families, but also marschal Berthier lead the Paris Treasures 2024 sale. Among the 30 lots offered, an important and rare Louis XIV gilt-bronze, pewter, ebony cabinet will be presented near by a a commode à la grecques by Simon Oeben which belonged to the marquise de Pompadour, a Louis XVI gilt-bronze mounted ebony desk stamped by Philipe-Claude Montigny, a Louis XV gilt-bronze mounted horn "elephant" mantel clock and a pair of Louis XV terrestrial and celestial globes made by Robert de Vaugondy. European works of art will be represented by a pair of marble columns representing the Della Rovere coat-of-arms, a silver-gilt inkstand made by Giuseppe Valadier with the Massimo coat-or-arms and a bust of Maximilian, king of Bavaria with a Boulle marquetery pedestal. 19th century is also present with pieces of furniture by Edouard Lièvre, a impressive Viennese piertra dura cabinet along with an Hungarian highly marquetred desk.
