- Sotheby’s is delighted to continue our online wine auction series in June with Curated Cellar | The Best of Burgundy Bordeaux, offering a curated selection of some of the finest names sourced from a handful of serious, discerning collectors.Leading the offering is a series of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti assortments from 1995, 1996, 1998, and 2005, originally purchased on release through DRC official importers. Individual bottles of Romanée-Conti from the 2000s and a rare Methuselah from the 1979 vintage are also included.The white Burgundy selection includes d’Auvenay across various parcels, multiple vintages of DRC Montrachet, two expressions of Meursault Perrières by J.-F. Coche-Dury 1996 and 2016, with this offering a wonderful opportunity to see the same great terroir expressed by two generations.From Bordeaux, highlights include back vintages of the Left Bank First Growths, OWC Le Pin spanning 2005 to 2010, and a stunning Vieux Château Certan 1959 magnum.Rounding out the sale are cult California producers like Screaming Eagle, Harlan Estate, and Sine Qua Non, alongside mature Champagne from classic vintages including 1970 Dom Pérignon Oenothèque and Taittinger 1971 Comtes de Champagne.A great chance to add some depth to the cellar, with plenty of wines that are drinking beautifully now.
