With its striking architecture and immersive exhibitions, the museum has welcomed more than three million visitors from 180 countries, establishing itself as the world’s most comprehensive site dedicated to wine and its cultures.2025 marks a double anniversary: the 10th anniversary of the Cité du Vin and the 170th anniversary of the legendary 1855 Bordeaux Classification. This auction celebrates both milestones, offering collectors the chance to engage directly with the living history of wine. From Bordeaux to Tuscany, via Napa to Uruguay and Australia, the generosity of the world’s greatest producers shines in this auction. Collectors will find not only bottles of rare provenance, but also the opportunity to meet the people behind the wines and to step into places normally closed to the public. These include private tour of wineries and overnight stays, exclusive lunches or dinners at Châteaux and Michelin star restaurants, and acurated selection of wines in various sizes, with a particular emphasis on large bottles. These experiences are invitations to memory, offering encounters that will resonate long after the last sip has been savoured.Experiences Beyond the Bottle:Auction Highlights1855–2025 Collection | Sur les pas de Thomas Jefferson A once-in-a-lifetime ensemble of all 88 Grands Crus Classés en 1855 (Médoc Sauternes) in vintage 2016, specially labelled and presented in bespoke cases.
